Schilthorn (from Mürren) ticket

No discounts are available for young people.

Children aged at least 6 and under 16 pay 50% if a parent or adult purchases a full-price ticket and does not have an STS pass. If one parent holds a valid STS pass, they are entitled to a 50% discount and children go free with the Swiss Family Card. STS passes are the Swiss Travel Pass, Swiss Travel Pass Flex and the Swiss Half Fare Card.

No, there is no discount for senior citizens.

When ordering, you must enter a specific date on our website on which you would like to go on the excursion. You are therefore bound by this date and cannot change it flexibly.

Tickets will only be fully refunded if you have taken out the FLEX CANCELLATION OPTION and if they are cancelled at least 1 day before travel. You can add the FLEX CANCELLATION OPTION for payment protection in the final step of the checkout process before payment.

If you have not taken out the Flex Cancellation Option, a cancellation fee of CHF 30 will be charged, and a fee of CHF 60 will apply if the cancellation is made between 1 and 3 days prior to travel. You can find more information about our cancellation policy here.

Once the purchase is complete, you will receive an e-ticket by e-mail. This e-ticket is already a valid ticket. E-tickets are personal and non-transferable. They are only valid in conjunction with a valid passport or ID card. The details on the passport or ID card must match the details on the e-ticket. You can present the e-ticket directly on your smartphone or tablet so that the QR code can be scanned by the ticket inspector. You can also save the e-ticket in the wallet on your mobile device. Alternatively, you can print out the ticket on white paper in its original size and present it for inspection.

The ticket includes the gondola ride from/to Mürren, the Spy World exhibition, the Skyline Walk and the Thrill Walk.

It is not possible to reserve seats.

The journey from Stechelberg to the Schilthorn alone takes about 30 minutes each way, and you have to change three times. You travel from Stechelberg by cable car to Gimmelwald. From there, you continue to the mountain village of Mürren. The next gondola takes you from Mürren up to Birg, from where you take another cable car to Schilthorn Piz Gloria at 2,970 metres above sea level.

Once there, the weather dictates whether you can take part in outdoor activities. You can also take advantage of the food and drink on offer in the restaurant while enjoying the panoramic view. In total, you can easily spend 3 to 4 hours there. If you plan on seeing everything, you should definitely plan half a day.

The aerial cableway is open all year round except from 22.-26.04.2024 and during the 2024/2025 winter season (from 14.10.2024 to March 2025). The exact departure times can be found in the relevant timetable.
