Schynige Platte ticket
The Schynige Platte ticket takes you from Wilderswil to the Schynige Platte, the "Top of Swiss Tradition", with attractions showcasing Swiss culture. The Skywalk is included and offers sweeping views of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

Frequently asked questions
From Wilderswil, you can take the cogwheel train directly to the Schynige Platte. The journey takes around 50 minutes each way.
The cogwheel train runs daily every 40 minutes from 13 June to 25 October 2026. The railway is closed in winter. The current times can be found in the timetable.
No, it is not possible to reserve seats for the journey to the Schynige Platte.
Some parts of the Schynige Platte are accessible. To take the cogwheel train from Wilderswil to Schynige Platte, advance reservation by telephone is required. Please call at least one hour before the journey. Advance registration is also required for the descent. Railway staff will assist you in getting on and off the train with the help of a wheelchair lift. A maximum of two wheelchair spaces are available per train.
The Panorama Restaurant Schynige Platte is accessible, while the Botanical Alpine Garden is not.
